Pyengana is a village in north-east Tasmania, Australia. At the 2006 census, Pyengana had a population of 123. It is part of the Break O’Day Council administrative region.
Over the Easter Weekend it comes alive with a carnival atmosphere. Wood chopping and many local events. However the main attraction is the sheepdog trials held at the recreational ground. Come and see Tassie best battle it out.

Friday afternoon the novice trial will be held for the young inexperienced dogs.

Saturday, starting at 7.30am, the Open dogs will compete for the winner of the CopRice Open trial.

Sunday morning the Open dogs will again compete but on a Trans Tasman course.  This is the course used internationally when Australia takes on New Zealand.
